Privacy Policy

We built Reminda to help you remember what matters — not to sell your data. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Who we are

Reminda (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a scheduling service for text-message and voice-call reminders. This policy applies when you use our website, dashboard, and related services.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account email address (via Supabase authentication)
  • Phone numbers you verify and use for reminder delivery
  • Reminder content: titles, messages, scheduled times, and optional notes
  • Billing information processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Google Calendar data if you connect Google Calendar — event titles, times, descriptions, and locations needed to display your schedule and optional auto-reminders

We also collect basic technical data such as server logs, IP addresses, and device/browser information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

  • Create and manage your account
  • Send scheduled SMS and voice-call reminders through our telecom provider
  • Sync and display Google Calendar events when you opt in
  • Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Improve reliability and fix bugs

Third-party services

We rely on trusted processors to run Reminda, including:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe — subscription billing
  • Telnyx — SMS and voice-call delivery
  • ElevenLabs — third-party text-to-speech for voice reminders (reminder message text only; see “AI and voice reminders” below)
  • Google — optional sign-in and optional Calendar sync (see “Google user data” below)
  • Vercel — application hosting

These providers only receive data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data-processing agreements.

Sharing, disclosure, and transfer of Google user data

When you use Google sign-in or connect Google Calendar, Reminda receives Google user data only as described below. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning or AI models.

What Google data we access

  • Google Sign-In: your email address and basic profile information from your Google account (via the ID token) to create and authenticate your Reminda account.
  • Google Calendar (optional): if you connect Calendar, we access read-only calendar event data (titles, start/end times, descriptions, locations, and event IDs) from calendars you choose to sync.

With whom we share, transfer, or disclose Google user data

  • Supabase (authentication provider): processes your Google ID token to verify your identity and maintain your login session. Supabase stores your account email and authentication metadata.
  • Our database (hosted by Supabase): stores your account email and, if you enable Calendar sync, synced calendar event fields needed to display your schedule and optional auto-reminders.
  • Vercel (hosting): our application runs on Vercel's infrastructure. Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, request metadata) may be generated when you use the service; we do not intentionally log the contents of your calendar events in access logs.

Who does not receive Google user data

  • ElevenLabs (text-to-speech) — receives only reminder message text you author; not Google account or Calendar data.
  • Stripe — billing only; no Google user data.
  • Telnyx — phone numbers and reminder delivery content only; no Google account or Calendar data.

We may disclose Google user data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your explicit consent. We do not otherwise share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties except as listed above.

Reminda's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI and voice reminders

Reminda does not operate its own AI model. For voice-call reminders, we use a third-party AI integration:

  • ElevenLabs — cloud text-to-speech API that converts your reminder message text into audio played on outbound voice calls.

ElevenLabs receives only the reminder text you write (e.g. “Take your medication”). It does not receive Google account information, Google Sign-In tokens, or Google Calendar event data. Google user data is not used for AI training, model improvement, or generative features in Reminda.

Phone numbers and reminders

You must verify a phone number before scheduling reminders to it. We send SMS verification codes and reminder messages only to numbers you have verified (or that you explicitly configure for calendar auto-reminders). Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, we request read-only access (the calendar.readonly scope) to import events you choose to sync. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which removes stored calendar event data from our systems. We do not modify your Google Calendar unless you explicitly enable features that require it in the future (none do today).

Reminda's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not allow humans to read it except where you give explicit consent, where required for security or legal reasons, or in aggregated/anonymized form for internal operations.

Data retention

We retain account and reminder data while your account is active. Delivered reminders may remain in your history for your reference. If you disconnect Google Calendar, synced events are deleted. You may request account deletion by contacting us; we will remove personal data except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (e.g. billing).

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated API access, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • Update reminder and account information in your dashboard
  • Disconnect Google Calendar in Settings
  • Manage or cancel your subscription through Billing
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us

Children

Reminda is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Reminda after changes means you accept the updated policy.
